REHAB procedures

As of 1 January 2017: REHAB measures

When an application for an interim supplement paid to unemployed construction workers prior to retirement is submitted, the employee must prove that they have completed health rehabilitation measures within the last two years before submitting the application.

Treatments, training sessions or therapies that ease physical and mental complaints and can typically appear in connection with working in the construction industry are considered to be such measures.

These complaints especially affect the areas of the musculoskeletal system, the cardiovascular system, the respiratory system, hearing or psychological stress.

Evidence of the following treatments, training sessions or therapies results in a positive assessment of the use of rehabilitation health measures:

  • Physiotherapy
  • Back and spine programmes
  • Medical massage
  • Relaxation training
  • Cardiovascular training
  • Health-related exercises
  • Healing treatments
  • Occupational health promotion measures
  • Other medically prescribed therapies
  • Psychological or psychiatric treatment

The submitted certificate must indicate that measures consisting of at least ten hours/units of at least 45 minutes each were completed in the past two years.
